OVERVIEW BAROMETER
9th annual overview barometer
For over ten years now, EurObserv’ER has been collecting data on European Union renewable energy sources in order to describe, in thematic barometers, the state and dynamism of the different sectors. The present annual assessment is a synthesis of the work published in 2009 in Systèmes Solaires (le Journal des Énergies Renouvelables n° 189 to n° 194, le Journal de l’Éolien n° 4 and le Journal du Photovoltaïque n° 1), after having been first updated and completed. It provides a complete survey of the nine renewable sectors plus synthesis notes on solar thermal electricity and ocean energy. Their performances are compared with the objectives of the European Commission White Paper and its Biomass Action Plan. Finally, a chapter on socioeconomic impacts of the development of RES complete this study.
