Observ'ER

The Institute is the principal technical actor in Slovenia. It completes the actions of the universities by creating links between theoretical research and in-the-field applications.

This structure counts approximately 710 employees including 15 that are attached to the Energy Efficiency Centre (EEC), the department that will be working on the EurObserv'ER barometers project.

The Jozef Stefan Institute - Energy Efficiency Centre (JSI/EEC) is engaged in research, development and consultancy in the fields of energy policy, energy efficiency, renewable energies and environmental protection (reduction of greenhouse gases, reduction of CO2 emissions, etc.).

Its partners are the Ministries of the Environment, Finance, Education and Research, as well as private companies. Jozef Stefan Institute is an actor whose activity concerns renewable energies in all their quantitative and qualitative aspects.

Its network of contacts extends to a large number of the new European Union member countries, notably including Hungary and the Czech Republic.
